We have an urgent need for parents to serve on our band booster board.  The existing board either has seniors or reached their term limits.  Please consider taking a larger role in your child's high school band experience.

In addition, our major band fundraiser, the fall sports program, is in need of volunteers.  We are looking for 4 to 5 parents to form a committee to facilitate this fundraiser. The program brings in $15,000, much needed money to support our program.  If we do not have parents to organize this fundraiser we will have to cancel it and in turn fair share will increase significantly.

Private Lessons !!! (added 9/1/2012)

It is important for you as a serious high school musician to study privately with a teacher. Receiving private instruction helps you to become a better all-around musician and increases your chances of having successful auditions for all-district, all-state, and also for our top ensembles here at school. The following private study teachers are available should you choose to take lessons. Please remember that you can also visit your local music store for lessons as well.

If interested, please have your parents contact the instructor of your choice to set things up.

Weekly Emails and the Charms Office


 

Attention all parents and friends of the AK Band Program: Did you know that we send out a weekly e-mail blast that has all of the latest, up-to-date information about our entire Band program? If you are not getting this email blast, please make sure you have logged into Charms Office and have put in your correct email addresses. 


To login into Charms Office, your username is "AK Band" and your password is your student's CMS ID number. If you have any questions about signing up / logging into Charms Office, please email Charms Account Coordinator.


Parent Chaperone / Volunteer Information

All parents who wish to volunteer and/or chaperone any Band functions this year must register as a volunteer with CMS. Please register by going to http://www.cmsvolunteers.com. If you have registered in the past with a different school, please go online and change your school designation to Ardrey Kell.

This must be completed before you can chapperone an event!
